Paper Powerpoint Presentation Shoebox Museum Informational Poster |
| Introduction | This unit focuses on Black History Month and the celebration
of African Americans. Following the steps provided will
guide students to the creation of a research paper, a powerpoint
presentation, a museum or an informational poster. |
| Task | You are to select one of the African Americans to
research and write a biographical research paper, a biographical
powerpoint presentation, a shoebox museum or an informational
poster. Students do NOT
have a choice of assignments. Some
will be required to work independently and some will be required to
work in an assigned group. Work is to be done at home and during
school; students are NOT to leave all research materials at home each
day as they may have the opportunity to work during school hours.
All contracts indicating their assignment are to be signed by the
student and the parent and presented to the teacher by Monday February
13, 2006. Included in the contract is the agreed upon
biographical subject. The person of focus MUST be approved by the
teacher before the contract is
signed by the parent. The
project is due Friday February 17, 2006. |
