Introduction
Internet high-speed connections…instant messages… text messages…e-mail messages…on-line blogs… 21st Century information is distributed at quick-glance, high-speed formats. Similarly, some written texts that are not on-line have concise formats so information can be referenced and utilized quickly. Brochures are one type of written text that present important information in this way.
Task
In groups, construct a brochure that displays important information from your Georgia authors research. Use the guide sheet entitled, “Georgia Authors Brochure,” for help.
Process and Guidance
o Step One: Before rejoining your group, gather all of your Georgia author research. Highlight or mark information from your research that you feel is significant to share with your group.
o Step Two: Meet with your group members. All group members should share the research information that was marked individually.
o Step Three:
  •  Review the brochure checklist.
  • Record your groups’ research information that matches the checklist in the space provided.
  • Make a note of any research that still needs to be done.
  • Decide how each group member with help gather the needed information.
  • Gather the missing information
o Step Four: Conduct a literary analysis for the Georgia’ author’s works by completing the literary chart as a group.
